Challenging projects are often the most rewarding, and this kitchen was one of those. We had to completely re-think the space.
THE BRIEF
KEY REQUIREMENTS
When taking on the project we were presented with a tired, hand-built kitchen in a very traditional layout. The conservatory was also being renovated so there were several elements we had to take into consideration.
The goal was:
- To change the way the apartment was being used, bringing in the kitchen and conservatory as a focal living space.
- Enable informal entertaining with ease of food preparation and clearing up.
- Make the environment a 'lovely place to be!'
THE RESULT
Our client was very welcoming to both new ideas in the design of the space and choice of cooking equipment. We created a space that worked well in both areas and enabled an environment where they could truly just enjoy being in the space.

planked wood emphasises the natural quality of the wood.
