THE RESULT
We took a monochrome approach to the design of the kitchen, adding a unique double edge on the kitchen island.
Due to the requirements of Indian cooking, we used a combination of induction and gas burners, with a high output burner and a wok burner. This meant that it was necessary to place in a commercial type of canopy extractor not hidden in the furniture.
As well as being available in black, the extractor comes as the same depth as the wall units, so it doesn’t stick out.
Hanging rails along the wall cladding, incorporates LED lighting and a range of accessories like a chopping board and kitchen roll dispenser.
The challenge in this kitchen was to create an island that fits in the space. The area was quite narrow, which called for compromises to be made during the design, but still achieved a high-quality result and a kitchen that will stand the test of time.
